It is billed as "the ultimate cultural theme park." However, once you have experienced the magic of Phuket Fantasea, this will seem to be understatement. This is one of a mere handful of theme parks the world over, where you can celebrate the cultural heritage of a country, right in the midst of cutting edge entertainment technology.

Phuket Fantasea is located in Kamala, and operates everyday except Thursday. Dinner is served at 6.00pm and the show begins at 9.00pm.
FantaSea is a magnificent, multi-million dollar complex that covers almost 140 acres. It houses a carnival village, complete with elephant rides, carnival games and numerous souvenir shops where you can buy handicrafts and other memorabilia.
It also features a sumptuous 4,000-seat buffet restaurant the Golden Kinnaree Buffet Restaurant. Here, you can sample traditional Thai and international cuisine at the seemingly endless buffet counters. There are also daily specials served at individual stations.
Other attractions at Phuket Island's FantaSea Park are its cinema halls, which are styled after ancient Thai palaces, the intricate, Thai-styled architecture and statues, the park's koi pond, and the palace of the elephants.
The highlight of the evening, however, is the Phuket Fantasea's world-class theatrical stage show. The doors open at 9.00pm, and camera-laden tourists begin to file in through security to take their seats. Cameras and any other image-taking media are strictly prohibited. You may check them in the door. For a fee, you may get a chance to take pictures with the cast and crew, including the animals.
The show begins at 10.00pm, and offers a thrilling combination of Thai cultural art forms, stunning special effects and cutting edge technology. From shadow puppets to gravity-defying acrobats, magic shows to animal acts, traditional dances to mythical battle scenes, the show will have you under its spell for an hour and 16 minutes.
The focus of this exotic extravaganza that is Phuket FantaSea is fun! Fabulous fun! The warm the hospitality of the Thai people just adds icing to the cake.
