Will I need a visa to visit Phuket?
Visitors from several countries can get a "visa on arrival," which is good for 30 days. You should, however, check to make sure your country is one of these. You may obtain a 60-day visa prior to leaving for Phuket Island. You can renew your visa for an additional 30 days if you want to extend your stay.
Will I need a Car on Phuket Island?
A car will give you the freedom to truly take advantage of all that this paradise Island ahs to offer. A number of brand name and local car rental companies operate on the Island. Be sure to have your drivers license and passport handy as you go to get a car rental.

Can I get Internet Access on Phuket Island?
Internet access is available on Phuket Island via dial up and ADSL. The dial-up service is painfully slow, and the ADSL is available only in certain areas of the Island.
What about a Cell Phone?
You can purchase a pay-as-you-go phone, or rent a mobile phone. A deposit is required for he rental phone, and its airtime charges are applied by the minute. If you would rather keep ypuir phone, international roaming service is available, but pretty expensive.
Can I bring my pet?
Most Certainly! Once you arrive at the airport, you will need to obtain authorization to "import" your pet. Import duties may apply, but you are exempt if your stay is shorter than 6 months. Keep your vaccination certificates and a photocopy of you passport on hand.
