Phuket golf: When To Go Golfing in Phuket Phuket weather

When you are planning a golfing vacation in Phuket, Thailand, you have your choice of many amazing golfing resorts that will keep you and your family happy. However, if you overlook one very important detail, than you will quickly find that your dream vacation has turned into a nightmare. Planning a vacation not only takes time to discover the correct resort to stay at, but also, what month to go. This is especially true if you are a golfer, so this raises the question, what is the best time of year to go golfing in Phuket, Thailand?

Knowing when to go golfing in Phuket is very important, because if you pick the incorrect time of year, than your entire vacation can be tarnished. However, by following several simple guidelines you will know exactly when to go golfing in Phuket. If you aren't familiar with Thailand's climate, they reside in a tropical monsoon environment. While this is fantastic because you will rarely experience a cold day, if you go at the wrong time of year, than your golf game could be quickly stopped due to excessive heat.

The best months to go golfing in Phuket are in the months November through March. The main reason why you should go golfing in these months is because there is little-to-no-humidity, and there is always a chill breeze flowing through the air. Another great aspect of going golfing in this time of year is because the average temperature is always around 24C to 32C, which is perfect whether to go golfing in. You will want to stay away from the golf courses during the hottest months in Thailand, which are April through May. The temperatures within these months average 27C all the way to 36C. Another downside to golfing in these months is because of the frequent, yet short, thunderstorms. However, when to go golfing in Phuket is entirely up to you, but be careful because on April 13th is the Thai New Year, and because it's so hot all of the citizens throw water on each other. So, if you are out on the golf course on this date, watch out for your caddie, it may not be the thunderstorm that is raining on you.
