I stayed at the
Patong Beach Graceland resort recently as I won a raffle for the spa at the local school prize day. This is a nice new resort with a beautiful or infinity pool overlooking Patong Beach.
This is a happening place and everybody seemed to be happy and enjoying her time. This is the kind of place where you can take the wife and family.

I went on the sea canoe up in the
Phang Nga Bay with my suns and had a great day out. We went to the north Ao Po and took and old wooden fishing boat to the sea caves which were cool. Even the youngest got excited! They like feeding the huge sea eagles best. This is a must trip.

phuket Property Market Update from Engel Voelkers
The Phuket property market appears to again be demonstrating resilience despite the ongoing global financial uncertainty.
After a slower than normal start in December we are witnessing an increase in reservations and enquiries with a focus on good quality developments due for completion. This demonstrates the resilience of one of the world's best resort destinations.
This said, we have seen some sensible pricing in the market for serious investors. Those properties which do not reflect a realistic market value will remain on the market.
The political situation has improved under the new government. In addition, they are taking swift action by unveiling a significant domestic stimulus package.
Thai Banks are well capitalised and have strong balance sheets, cleaned up after the Asian financial crisis. There is no exposure to CDW's or other toxic instruments.
We are also renting some superb villas for the holiday season, so why not refer to our website next time you need a holiday?
And there are some excellent investment properties offering great yields of up to 10% which is very attractive in an environment when bank interest rates are decreasing and markets are in a downward trend.
Obtaining a good yield is one positive point, but when you consider the additional benefits of gaining a great holiday home and possible long-term capital appreciation, then this may be a very favorable investment alternative.
