Mai Khao Beach is the longest beach on Phuket, around nine kilometers long and is part of the Nai Yang National Park. It runs all the way to Sarasin Bridge, the bridge connecting Phuket Island to the mainland.
Besides the JW Marriott Phuket, Mai Khao has barely any development on it.The whole vibe at Mai Khao Beach is totally laid back. The further south you go down the beach, the more secluded you will find yourself.
Mai Khao Beach is well known by local expats for the annual Turtle Release Ceremony, where locally bread leatherbacks are released into the wild.
Mai Khao Beach If you don't like to go to crowded beaches, then the solution may be Mai Khao. This beach stretches out luxuriously. Combined with its neighbour Nai Yang, it is almost 10 kilometres long. This is Phuket Island's northernmost beach, and its biggest beach by far. You will find the village of Had Mai Khao here, along with the Sirinath National Park. What you won't find are the big resort hotels.
